Maru Maru Lash, envisioned by CYZS Interiors, stands as a testament to the beauty of curves, both in form and function. The design inspiration for this unique eyelash beauty salon stems from the elegance of a smile's curve, akin to the allure of eyelashes. Chi Hong Chiang, the mastermind behind the design, has skillfully navigated the challenges of a narrow site to create a space that is not only visually stunning but also functional and sustainable.

What distinguishes Maru Maru Lash from its contemporaries is the seamless fusion of beauty and environmental responsibility. The salon's interior features curvilinear elements that echo the brand's logo, with curtains made from corn fiber and mineral paint that purifies the air. This commitment to sustainability is paired with a design that ensures privacy and comfort, offering patrons a holistic beauty experience that caters to both mind and body.

The realization of this design was no small feat, given the spatial constraints of the location. Chi Hong Chiang utilized curvilinear designs to create a fluid and inviting space, employing glass bricks at the entrance to enhance natural lighting while maintaining privacy. The use of eco-friendly materials throughout the salon underscores the brand's dedication to minimizing its environmental footprint.

Maru Maru Lash spans 78 square meters, where every detail has been meticulously planned to ensure a serene and luxurious environment. The use of mineral coatings further enhances the space's comfort, offering a sanctuary where clients can rejuvenate both physically and mentally.

Located in Taipei, Taiwan, the project began in December 2021 and reached completion in July 2022. Since then, Maru Maru Lash has continued to serve a discerning clientele, aligning with the brand's mission to provide comprehensive services in a refined setting. The design research centered around creating a space that reduces interference, allowing clients to enjoy their beauty treatments in peace and privacy.

Chi Hong Chiang's Maru Maru Lash overcame significant design challenges, particularly the need to balance openness with privacy within a confined space.
